"Endless Summer"

We are mourning the end of summer. We didn't even go on one vacation this summer. But we made up for it by getting a boat and 2 wave runners! They're just 10 year old beaters, so we don't have to be too careful with them (which is a good thing cuz we dont' really know what we are doing!) But we've had a blast. The lake is only 5 minutes away and this was the hottest summer on Utah record! So we just decided to go for it.

When Matt said he wanted to buy a boat, I flashed back to my childhood of racing Dad's boat on the Willamette, ruining prop after prop, and eating up dozens of ropes because no one could remember to reel them in before the prop ate them! Good times, good times! Needless to say, a boat was not high on my priority list, but now I am thrilled with it. The lake is so close, we can put in a full day of work or chores and still go out for a couple of hours.

Matt, Jordan and Devin are all learning to wake board. Me? Well, old dog, new tricks, that sort of thing. I'm just happy to drive the boat. But I look pretty fierce on the wave runner, let me tell you! Y'all come over now and we'll take you out! (Seriously! Come over!)

Mourning the end of summer? I can't even remember what that feels like. You're obviously not in AZ anymore.
How exciting to own a boat! Thanks for the invite, btw. We were in Lehi, UT in July. I would have totally taken you up on that. :)
Lindon's close to Lehi, right?
