Ty

Because this is a family blog, it would seem wrong not to mention a significant and devastating event in Jordan's life. A friend of hers named Ty McKinzie took his own life yesterday. All the students sent immediate text messages to each other to gather at the high school last night at 10:30 for a candle light vigil in his honor. Ty's parents came and spoke about their son and thanked them all for being a part of their son's life.

It just breaks my heart, the heavy burdens these teenagers carry with them. It so often seems like life is too much to take. If they could only see a glimpse of the future they would be so comforted to know that things can always get better. Life is a precious gift. We can so easily lose sight of that.

Our family's hearts go out to Ty's family in their time of grief and mourning and we will keep them in our prayers. God be with you, Ty.

That is absolutely devastating. How is Jordan holding up? It breaks my heart to see that happening...it seems like it's happening more and more. Send Jordan our love.

Jodan,

My heart just breaks at this news. It's just got to be so horrible to even think about why someone would be so sad that they felt they needed to do this. I'm sending my love to you and his parents, even tho I don't know them.

Much love,

Grandma E.

jordan, we all loved him so much. the memories of him are always going to be with us. just remember the good times, believe me it helps. its been so hard to keep my chin up, but girl, we can do it. he's here with us, he wants us to be happy, and he's helping people, just in other ways. everything happens for a reason, and God is looking out for Ty, and helping him. just remember the good times, his sarcasm, his cute little smile, the little gap in between his teeth, his gangster hats and his little strut. i love you girly. we can all be strong together!
