Then and Now

Jordan has been scanning old pictures for a book she's making at school. We came across these gems the other day.

This is Matt in 1976, hence the totally awesome patriotic shirt.

I showed Matt's picture to Brody today and asked him who he thought it was. "Your sister?" I thought I was gonna wet my pants. Matt really, really wanted sideburns, so he told his mom to leave them long when she cut his hair. Oh, how I just adore this picture!

And I was so proud of finally mastering the feathered do. I'm pretty sure I had to get up extra early to accomplish that.

And us, today. I like to think we've aged like a fine wine.

Or is it cheese?

Don't take offense, but you both look WAAAAY better now than you did back when!

You are so beautiful, Val. Someday I HOPE to look that fabulous in a picture. (referring, of course, to the Fine Wine shot. Most of my pictures are in the same category as the others.)

And Matt's not bad, either. I don't want him to feel left out...

I think I might wet my pants too? To which sister was he referring to, I might ask?! Love the new picture!

It's so fun to see pictures of you when you were just kids!
Those sideburns are hilarious!

First of all, that's not a picture of Matt... that's a picture of Bobby from the Brady Bunch.

Second of all... PLEASE do your hair now, the way you did THEN!

YEAH!!
