Devin got braces today! She only got the top teeth put on, the bottoms will come sometime down the road. When Brody saw her today, he looked a bit taken aback, and said, "Um, Devin, you don't really look familiar."
Her teeth are crooked, but I'm so grateful none of my kids have seemed to inherit my scary mouthful. Jordan doesn't need them at all. The ortho said Devin will only have to wear them 16 to 18 months, so she should have them off before high school. Lucky duck. Mine were on a full two years (into my Junior year!), and that was obviously not long enough, hence my significant overbite, still.Oh well. Not doing it again. Matt says braces on middle aged women is one of his least favorite things to see. Middle aged?! Watch it, big guy.

I got braces while I was preggo with Shelby, because I had a terrible TMJ problem. It fixed it right up, thankfully. I only had to have them for the 9 months of the pregnancy.
Pregnant with braces: not pretty.
